Coleman was born at Blackpool Lancashire. She was a student at the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also scored straight A's in her A-levels. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman admitted that she regretted not having a conventional college experience. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while at school. They performed at the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. Her performance was rewarded, and the play was praised by the critics. Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while trying out for drama classes in 2005. Coleman got two nominations in the year 2007. Coleman won two nominations in 2007: Best Newcomer for the British Soap Awards; and most Popular Newcomer in the National Television Awards. In 2009 she won nominated in the two categories including Best Actress-Sexiest Female as well as Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors quit the series. Moffat chose her for the role due to her ability to work the best alongside Smith and also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working active in the field for more than 30 years and is involved in numerous TV and film projects. She is however, more recognized for her TV shows instead of films. Eva is most well-known for her work in the role of Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. In the latter, she even received two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations and allowed her to express her creative side through music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is a philanthropist and an entrepreneur. She is a thrice-married woman who has a daughter from her second spouse.
